Capturing celebrations
I'm Louw! I photograph celebrations, specialising in weddings and couple photography. I also do events, family shoots, and all other types of celebrations, including birthdays, engagements, and lifestyle shoots.
I am based in Johannesburg, but I do travel and have done weddings and events in Pretoria, Hartbeespoort, Muldersdrift and various other venues in and around Gauteng and South Africa.
I do this in a documentary fashion, which means it is predominantly candid, unposed and unpretentious.
I will help you to keep those special memories alive by capturing authentic moments, with real emotions.

Why documentary photography?
Documentary photography is telling the real story of your wedding day, through candid and unposed images. This allows you to spend more time with your family and friends with very little interference by myself.
Even though I’m a documentary photographer, I will still capture those important details. Details such as the cake, table decor, bride and groom prep etc. I will also happily shoot formal shots (if you wish to have them).
During a celebration there are stories happening everywhere, different emotions, joy, happiness, anxiety, little details which I observe and capture. This is my passion.
Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on camera is captured forever… It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.

They wanted to have a big wedding to celebrate with family and friends and decided to have a fantastic wedding at Oakfield Farm in Muldersdrift.
Their wedding was a modern African traditional celebration uniting the Zulu and Setswana Cultures.
